This year is the 30th anniversary of the release of the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off so it was a real pleasure to create a new design for the film poster for this year’s Bigger Picture Show. There have been countless fan-made posters and I was hoping to portray something unique, so I went with an image or a view that we actually don’t see in the film– the process of the Ferrari busting through the plate glass window. I added Cameron’s quote as the turning point where he starts to stand up and become his own person. As a Mid-Century architecture fan, it was fun to draw the gorgeous house from the movie. There was something of a bidding war for the poster 🙂
