Arch down the Aisle

Arch down the Aisle is my exuberant installation commissioned for the NBA All-Star 2024. The piece consists of barrel-vaulted arch tunnels festooned with lights and South Indian flower garlands. The tunnels are the exact shape of the free throw line arch, welcoming you towards the basket. The sculpture functions as a gateway, an archway with a nod to South Indian wedding traditions, to chuppahs and to the 'aisle' that a player may find on their way towards a lay-up.
